Colleen Ferrary is the Founder and CEO of Peak Fractional Leadership & Advisory Group, an integrated operator-and-advisor platform focused on driving revenue, operational performance and enterprise value within family-owned, private equity-backed and family office portfolio companies. At the center of her work is a belief that great leadership is both rigorous and deeply human, protecting what families and founders have built while helping prepare it for what comes next.
A career operator with more than 20 years of executive leadership experience, Colleen has held P&L responsibility exceeding $900 million, led organizations of more than 5,000 people, and held senior leadership roles at Target Corporation and as President of Small Business USA, which she led through a successful exit.
Today, Colleen and the Peak team work alongside family offices, private equity firms, independent sponsors and existing advisors to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. Peak embeds experienced fractional executives and operating teams directly into businesses to drive enterprise value, transformation, organizational performance and succession.
In addition to advising private equity and venture capital firms, founders and technology CEOs since 2012, she is particularly passionate about helping founders, families and rising-generation leaders navigate periods of growth and transition with clarity, confidence and care. Education
Colleen holds a business degree from the University of Connecticut and a degree in Human Resource Management from Post University. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s invitation-only Senior Executive Program and has completed postgrad education focused on A.I. and Business Strategy at MIT Sloan. She also holds multiple certifications, including Lean Six Sigma certification and certification as an executive coach with the Coaching Institute.
Personal
Colleen is a New Yorker at heart who has made La Jolla her home in recent years (who wouldn’t?) She is an avid, however not particularly good, golfer. She still shares her time with New York, much to the dismay of her beach-loving husband and their rescue dog, Lila.
